beyond Basics for beginners
New to photography and just invested in your first proper camera, then the beyond Basics for beginners workshop is an ideal introduction on how to achieve a better photograph and covers everything from the basic settings and learning about light to how to compose great picture.

The Workshop is broken into three segments :
- Learning the basics and beyond - classroom based
- Photo walk - to tryout some of the techniques
- Critique - classroom based - look at photos just taken by student on photo walk and assess what was good and what went wrong. Self critique is the best way to learn and improve skills when it comes to photography.

How long does the Workshop take to do?
- The workshop lasts 4 hours in total starting at 9am in the morning. Afternoon workshops are available on request.
What type of camera do I need to do the course?
- Ideally as long as your camera, whether compact, bridge, DSLR or system camera, has these program modes:
[A] Aperture Priority, [S]or[Tv] Shutter priority and [M] manual. Not sure if your camera has these features, its no a problem, just tell me the make and model of your camera when filling in the Booking Enquiry form below.
How much does it cost and for how many people?
- 1-2 Person Workshop £200
for a maximum of up to two people on the workshop - 3-4 Person Workshop £300
for a maximum of up to four people on the workshop
Where is the the Workshop?
- The Workshop is run in the beautiful seaside towns of Broadstairs and Margate in Thanet, Kent, so ideal if visiting for a weekend or longer stay at the seaside.
