Lovelys gallery and art shop was established in 1891 by Mr Edward Lovely. It is still owned and run by the Lovely Family.
Today Lovelys exhibits originals,limited editions and prints over two floors and offers a bespoke framing service in their own workshop. A picture cleaning and restoration service is also available.
Lovelys extensive Art and Craft department stocks everything for the artist and craft enthusiast and hosts demos and workshops throughout the year!

We work with professional local, national and international artists to bring you the best in handmade and handcrafted products. Our gift items range from notebooks, ceramics, brooches, and purses to limited edition artworks and originals. We aim to support independent individuals and companies who produce fair traded items that are made in the UK.
Alongside our gift shop is a well-lit and spacious gallery which holds contemporary art exhibitions all year round. Our curated exhibitions are innovative and inspiring allowing us to present a modern-day look at various styles of art. Each exhibition is promoted online and in print via on our mobile friendly website, blog page and in local media.

New Kent Art is the brainchild of local artists Brian Hodgson and Karen Hiscock-Lawrence - to open a new, intimate fine art gallery space in Broadstairs.
New Kent Art Gallery & Studio is situated in the very heart of beautiful Broadstairs town, just yards from the seafront and harbour.
A new, intimate gallery space focussing on local artists, with stunning work in a wide range of styles and prices to suit all, together with resident artists in a working studio. Paintings, sculptures, crafts, ceramics, gifts and one-off pieces to admire and buy, bringing an individual touch of Kent to your home.
Two local artists, Brian Hodgson and Karen Hiscock-Lawrence run a studio and affordable gallery space for artists based in Thanet and Kent to hire and showcase their work, as well as holding open shows throughout the year. Changing exhibitions every fortnight will provide residents and visitors to Broadstairs an exciting art experience, as well as a hub for artists and makers to pop in for a chat.
